Niku no Yamagyu welcomes you with the appetizing aroma of grilled meat. I have been eating here regularly lately, and before I knew it, I had accumulated five "Niku-fuda" (meat discount coupons) awarded for every 500 yen spent, making me eligible for a 290 yen discount. Since it would be a waste to let them expire, I made sure to bring the coupons and went there to eat.

Upon entering the restaurant and looking over the options, I discovered their "Butcher's Set Meal" series offered a variety of set meals. From those, I decided to order the "Fried Chicken & Beef Galbi Yakiniku Set Meal" (990 yen incl. tax). I had only ever ordered rice bowls here before, so this was my first time trying a set meal. Although the free extra-large portion of rice was tempting, it was an extremely hot day and my appetite wasn't particularly large, so I went with the regular portion. I waited excitedly for my food to arrive, wondering what it would look like.

I took a bite of the substantial fried chicken first. The batter was crispy and fragrant, bursting with flavorful juices on the inside. Combining it with the generous dollop of tartar sauce added a smooth, rich flavor that made it taste exquisite. I enjoyed switching up the flavors as I ate, enjoying it both plain and with tartar sauce.
Next was the classic beef galbi yakiniku. The meat was infused with a rich, flame-grilled aroma and coated in a sweet and savory sauce, making it pair perfectly with the rice. The soup included with the set had a rich, flavorful broth that provided a refreshing contrast between bites of meat. The entire meal was exceptionally well-crafted, and before I knew it, I had easily finished all the rice, leaving me thoroughly satisfied.
